LIMITED EDITION 52/280 (only 250 for sale). 4to. Signed "Max Beerbohm" on the limitation page. Colour frontispiece and 51 b & w plates plus additional colour plate, School for Those About to Become Cartoonists, signed "Max", in pocket at rear. All edges gilt. Tissue guards evenly toned and a few very slightly creased. 28.5 x 22 cm. Original fern green buckram. A very good copy. Retains front panel of original dustwrapper, torn at edges, creased and incomplete. First published 1925, this the edition de luxe, with the signed plate and signed on limitation page. Jason Burley, an accredited full member of the ABA and of ILAB, has owned his own bookshop continuously since 1984, been a past Chair of the PBFA (London) for over four years and exhibited at the PBFA monthly Russell Hotel antiquarian bookfairs & other specialist bookfairs for over a decade. At Firsts London 2024, the Rare Book Fair Committee selected Jason of Camden Lock books for the Award of Best Display of the four-day event. Jason is also co-founder and co-owner of Burley and Fisher Books LLP. - located between Haggerston and Dalston Kingsland Stations, the bookshop has an events space with a bar where we hold over 100 literary events each year, a basement of second-hand books, and a Risograph Printing department. Our stock of new books includes independent publishers and local authors, with general, collectable second-hand books, as well. Our older, rare books include collectable miniature books, our specialism.
