About this Item
The legal documents binder containig the business papers for the North Shore Utilities Corporation, incorporated in the State of New York. The first is "Waiver of Notice of First Meeting of Incorporators andSubscribers of North Shore Utilities Corporation" signed by Elsie Klein, Alfred E. Rosenhirsch and Reuben Bressler, dated July 20th, 1928. They then resigned and Philip Vollmer, Frederick Duquette and Thurlow R. Weed were elected as officers. There is also a hand written resignation from Duquette dated June 12, 1929 saying the he resigned " as a result of certain controversies which have arisen, between myself and other officers of this corporation." Typescript, Minutes (27pp); By-laws 10pp; Charter section with 2pp receipts from the State of New York for tax receipts (and no charter.) With a share certificate for the company folded and loosely inserted in the front. The illustrations on the share certificate showing oil wells gushing. 4to, bound in red morocco-patterned cloth.
