Softcover. Illustrated. Original green pictorial wrappers. Moderate edge wear and surface rubbing; corners worn; spine rubbed but intact. Binding sound. Interior clean aside from signatures. A detailed account of the Navajo Code Talkers of World War II, based on first-person interviews and Marine Corps documentation, describing the development and use of the Navajo code in the Pacific Theater, including Iwo Jima, Saipan, Peleliu, Guam, and Bougainville. Signed on the title page by multiple WWII U.S. Marine Navajo Code Talkers, with inscriptions including names, unit identifications, and service years (1942-1945). These appear to be veteran reunion or commemorative inscriptions rather than modern author-event signatures. A significant association copy, elevating this volume from a standard reference work to a piece of historical veteran-signed material. Multi-signed Code Talker books are uncommon and increasingly scarce. .
