This book features new and recent works by Iskandar Jalil, and also traces retrospectively his developments in ceramics over the past forty years, examining his use of clay, glaze and form. It also traces his life's journey, family and contemporaries, his ideas, thoughts and inspiration.
This first, fully researched book on Singapore's internationally-acclaimed potter Iskandar Jalil, documents his life and works in ceramics, including many colour plates with photgraphy by Lawrence Chong, and lovingly researched and written by Lindy Poh, with an article by Iskandar Jalil on Southeast Asian ceramics encountered as part of many travels.
