Daniel Garcia answers this question in Marines Don’t Cry by telling his stories of death to life, deep sorrow to joy, darkness to life and freedom in Christ. Daniel Garcia and Jacqueline C. Garcia depict Daniel’s dramatic highs and emotionally painful lows. They do not pull punches, nor do they sugar coat his experiences. Marines Don’t Cry recounts his early life in Spanish Harlem, which makes his journey of walking more than 52 million steps on six continents for children and world peace such an incredible story. It conveys Daniel’s conversion from drugs and the fast lane to a man consumed with knowing and serving God at all costs. Marines Don’t Cry describes encounters with world figures, such as Pope John ll, U.S. presidents, kings and queens, heads of states and well-known personalities. Most of all, it is about the love of God, the transformational power of that love, and how Danny has made it his life’s work to love his neighbor, to love himself, and to spread hope. About the Author
Jackie C. Garcia is married to Daniel Garcia. She graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO, in 1985 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. Jackie holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and a Master of Science in Human Resources Management. While in the US Air Force, she specialized in communications, acquisition, systems engineering, and information technology. After a rewarding and fulfilling Air Force career, she retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the summer of 2006, having spent more than 21 years on active duty. Since 2006, Jackie has supported and advised on all aspects of her husband’s walks and charitable initiatives within the United States and abroad. She joined Daniel during his Africa Walk in 2007 and ministered in South Africa, Uganda, Ethiopia, and Southern Sudan. During this time, her faith and reliance on God grew tremendously under the mentorship of Daniel Garcia. The Global Walk experience gave Jackie an opportunity to serve God abroad, and her vision is to spread the hope, love, and the grace of Jesus Christ through her writing. She is a native of El Paso, TX, and a breast cancer survivor.

Store description
With 3 stores less than 1 hour outside the DC/Metropolitan area (1 in Gaithersburg, 1 in Frederick and 1 in Hagerstown, MD), we have the largest selection of books in the tri-state area. Wonder Book and Video has been in business since 1980 and online since 1997. We have over 1 Million books for sale on our website and another 1 Million books for sale in our 3 locations. Items on Abe are not necessarily in stock at our retail locations. Please do not call the stores to place orders for Abe Books sales. We have a very active online inventory and as such, we can receive multiple orders for the same item. We fill those orders on a first come first serve basis, but will refund promptly any items that are out of stock. Since 1980 it has always been about the books. ALL kinds of books from 95 cent children's paperbacks to five figure rare and collectibles. A merging of the old and new is where we started, and it is where we are today. Our retail stores have always been places where a reader can rush in looking for a title needed for a term paper that is due the next day, or where bibliophiles can get lost "in the stacks" for as long as they wish. In 2002 USAToday recognized us as "1 of 10 Great Old Bookstores", and we have been featured in numerous other newspaper and TV stories including Washington Post and CSpan. Members ABAA, ILAB.…
