Lovely copy of this 1896 20th Anniversary edition signed Isabella Banks by the author on the bastard title page with date printed 1896 Dark green cloth boards, Gilt lettering front and spine, and blind stamped decoration on front. Gilt top to pages.Unusually this has a bookplate showing the 1876 Manchester Man Mrs G. Linnaeus Banks. I have tried to research this at the Manchester libraries and they believe this could be Mrs Banks own copy. Book has uniform slight fade to spine otherwise boards in near fine condition. Spotting to page edges. Tight binding. Foxing offsetting to end papers with some water staining to front end papers. Sporadic foxing throughout. No other inscriptions. Gift quality.
