Manuscript of the poem "In the Storm" on the front free endpaper noted "p.49" in Markham's hand and signed Edwin Markham and dated April,1917. The poem is printed on p. 49 of the book, and the hand version differs from it by "cliff" as the last word of line 4 replacing "rock" in the printed version. While somewhat curious, It seems rather a slip than a change or correction. Original gilt lettered light blue cloth. Near fine clean bright copy. Sheets clean, unmarked, complete.
