Add to basketA smart complete set of this collection of letters from Franz Kafka to Felice Bauer, translated into French. Signed and inscribed by the translator. Complete in two volumes. French. Signed and inscribed by the translator. With eight plates to the rear of volume two. Collated complete. A collection of letters from Franz Kafka, a German-language novelist and writer from Prague, widely regarded as one of the major figures of twentieth-century literature. These letters were written to his fiancé Felice Bauer from 1912 to 1917. Translated by Marthe Robert, a French essayist and translator. In the original paper binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities and the odd small mark to the boards. Minor fading to the spine with tide marks to the front and rear boards of volume one and the rear board of volume two. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot. Contemporary ink inscription from the translator to the front endpaper of volume one. Very Good.
