270p. Frontispiece of the author in uniform. Bostock joined the Buffs in India as surgeon in 1842, serving in the Gwalior campaign. Later became a Surgeon-Major in the Scots Fusilier Guards in the Crimea where he was awarded with the CB. See Riddick 72. Original green cloth with gilt lettering. Front hinge cracked & re-glued. SIGNED & inscribed to Lady Rupell? Reynolds by Harriet Bostock, the author's wife in 1896. Book published posthumously. Near Fine Copy.
