Slim book. A reprint, with a few alterations, to an article originally printed in The Architectural Review. The book was printed in a limitation of 750, this being one of 350 copies printed for the Dorian Workshop & Studio. The other 400 copies were printed for The First Editions Club. Printed by The Bradley Press on hand-made paper from the Barcham Green Mills in Kent. This copy is signed by the author with a presentation inscription presented 'To Joseph Thorp, who has been, & still is such a good missionary for Lettering from Percy Smith 6.11.34'. Later bookplates of Everett Noel Billington and Michael Fletcher above and below the inscription. Paper-covered boards which are worn and soiled. Minor loss to spine ends with short split at the foot of the spine. Inside, light tanning to free end papers front and rear. Seller Inventory # 003488
