Staple-bound booklet, H 21.75cm x L 24cm, SIGNED BY SENATOR JOHN STENNIS. 27 pages. Dark gray paper covers. Frontispiece color portrait; captioned b/w photographs throughout with biographical text. Published for the occasion of a tribute dinner for Senator Stennis held at the Sheraton Washington Hotel on June 23, 1988. Recto of rear cover acts as a folder with "Order of Events" sheet laid-in presenting a list of speakers and such for the celebratory dinner; the cost per plate was $1000 (per a notation in the Mississippi State University library catalog). Mississippi Senator John Cornelius Stennis (1901-1995) served in Congress from 1947-1988. A near fine copy with the Senator's signature on the front cover.
