Item description from seller

This Canadian-born American actress of vaudeville and films often played French girls in such movies as "They Had to See Paris" (1929, with Will Rogers), "Hot for Paris" (1930), "Three Legionnaires" (1937) and many others. IPS, 7½" X 9½", n.p., January 1935. Near fine. Handsome sepia-tone closeup portrait of D'Orsay and then husband, actor Maurice Hill, smiling cheek to cheek. In a light portion at upper left, she signs and inscribes boldly in blue ink: "To Eddie Kesner / a real live booster / Best of luck / Maurice and Fifi-Hill / Jan. 1935." D'Orsay married Hill in 1933 and divorced him in 1938, so photographs signed with this married name are uncommon. A delightful vintage image, beautifully signed.
