Hardcover with unclipped dust jacket. Subscriber's copy signed by the author on half-title page. Includes frontispiece and 16 further plates all taken from large water-colour drawings, etc, by the author; all plates protected with tissue paper. Jacket is watermarked at front, rear and spine with wear to all edges and small tears to spine ends. Boards are edgeworn, bumped at corners and marked at spine. Light water marks to lower board edges that has bled over slightly to endpapers. Minor foxing to prelims, page block and to some pages internally.
