On printed letterhead South Congregational Church, Boston. Dated [Feb? ] 19 - 1884. Two pages. Approx. 5" wide by 8 1/4". "To the State Republican Committee; Gentlemen, Circumstances have made me somewhat intimate with the Canadian population of Massachusetts . I am quite sure that the influence of Le Republicain newspaper has been in important in its [illegible] among these people; - who may become valuable citizens. . I hope you may .extend to it [the newspaper] some pecuniary aid in the course of the present year.".
