Formerly folded for mailing, when closed addressed to recipient on each side. There are a few spots of ink smudging. Two areas of paper loss from removal of wax seal [they were adjacent when letter was closed] have been repaired with the loss of several letters. ; Handwritten letter signed Thomas Haynes Bayly [the Bayly is cramped and illegible]. One page, approx. 7 1/4" wide by 8 7/8". Handwritten heading Oxford Villa, Cheltenham. Dated Sept 12th. To Sir [F. M. Reynolds] "I return the proof, & beg to observe that the two corrections made by me in the former proof have not been corrected. I have again m[ark]ed them." Folded and mailed, addressed to F. M. Reynolds Esq, Archery Road, Highgate, London. Ink stamped "Free, 15SE15, 1828". There is another partial ink stamp dated Sp 15 and a partial Basingstoke ink stamp.
