(xiv), (278)pp. Charles Scribner's Sons, Black and white photos, maps on endpapers. With a foreword by Maj. Gen. C. L. Chennault. Frontispiece is a photograph of Scott. This book covers Scott's early career in the US Air Force and throughout WWII, focusing on his role as commander of the AVG (American Volunteer Group). The AVG was a collection of some of the best fighter pilots of WWII, many of whom came from the Flying Tigers. Comes with period newspaper article on Chennault. Book in very fine, clean condition. Jacket is not price clipped but has a few small chips.
