Item description from seller

Copy right page only has 1935 year. Author, Hannah Dutaud wrote a lovely inscription on FEP. Tan cloth covers are illustrated with a linear design and title; covers are foxed and lightly soiled. Spine Lettering on spine is very readable and clear. Binding is firm and all pages & signatures are well attached. Top edge of pages are foxed. NO Dust jacket. 282pp. includes index. See pictures Page edges are browning / foxing due to age. Interior pages have No writing, creases or tears. End papers are complete, with a notable soil splotch on bottom of FEP. Very rare to find an 90 year old cook book in such very good condition. Early cookbooks are very interesting not only in the foods and methods but they also speak to history and culture. This cookbook has a full chapter on Nursing (babies), and infant feeding which includes a schedule from day one to first year.

Store description

Autumn Leaves Books has been in the book selling business since 1996 in the Chicago and NW Indiana region. We specialize in fine illustrated and collectible children's books, children's literature, fairy tales and mythology. We also offer an eclectic mix of quality rare & out of print books on a diverse range of non-fiction subjects. Browse our storefront and you may find books on history, Civil War, WW2, philosophy, as well as vintage paperbacks and older science fiction books. We make every effort to fairly describe the condition of the book and identify any flaws (writing, tears, creases, folds), including that of the dust jacket. We use the "Fine" book condition judiciously when grading of the book or dust jacket. Our books are well cared for and most dust jackets will be in clear protective coverings. If you have any questions, please send us an e-mail.
