Recommendations:
“Finally! A parenting book that gives mothers (and fathers) permission to listen to their God-given intuition to find the parenting style that works for them and their baby. Chickering and Yoder recognize and celebrate that God creates both parents and babies as unique individuals, and that there is no one-size-fits-all recipe. They blend scientific evidence-based recommendations with Biblical grace to help each family find a good balance.” Dr. Rebecca Saenz, MD, IBCLC, FABM, Mississippi Breastfeeding Medicine Clinic, PLLC, Madison, MS
“This book will be what every new mom needs to read. I love the practical comments on how and why you rock a baby… and the proper use of a baby sling. The whole thing is very practical. I LOVE how it teaches the Biblical view. That is so needed! I have explained this view to many girls. I really love it and I will recommend it to every pregnant lady I know. It is very well written and easy to follow.” Mrs. Anna Teis, Pastor's Wife, Liberty Baptist Church, Las Vegas, NV
"One of the chief regrets of my earthly life is that I did not know the Lord until many years after my babies were born. Not having His presence, nor a godly heritage, I made so many serious mistakes which have affected their lives even to this day. Since the disintegration of our culture (even in Christian homes) and lack of intergenerational wisdom, "The Gentle Art of Mothering" provides a rich foundation for establishing life patterns that will channel an infant toward God, not away from Him. I heartily and enthusiastically recommend this detailed "workbook" on mothering of infants to anyone entering that most blessed and sometimes, terrifying, life process. May God use the information and principles found in it to bring many infants (and their parents) into a loving and satisfying relationship with their heavenly Father." Mrs. Mina Oglesby, Ladies Conference Speaker, Chattanooga, Tennessee
