viii, 120 p., including Index. 22 cm. Illustrated with an engraved b&w frontispiece and two colour plates. Head-and tail-pieces. Inscribed by the author to Margaret Northcote on a front endpaper in 1880. Purple cloth, with faded spine and edges. A leaf of errata is inserted before p. 1. Corners worn and spine ends chipped. Bookplate for Alvin I. Dust (1922-2009), professor of English at University of Waterloo, on front pastedown endpaper. The first edition of 200 copies was printed in 1874. This edition is 100 copies. It has a new Preface explaining that Belinda's Game, taken and expanded by the author from Alexander Pope's 'Rape of the Lock,' and published as a Supplementary Chapter in 1875, is now incorporated into this Second Edition.
