Patrick Cavanaugh knows about searching for gold – and finding it. His successful career as a gold exploration geologist spans three decades. Patrick also knows there is more to life than glittering rocks. Freedom, family, friends, career, and the power of love are assets more valuable to him than gold. All that Glitters is a collection of personal lessons from the author’s seven decades of living. It’s a treasure map of a life well lived. Through life experiences such as wilderness living and exploration treks, Patrick learns golden lessons from some improbable challenges and characters. As life settles, Patrick and his wife, Susan, resist the urge to sit back and watch the world go by. Instead they travel to twenty-two countries, host foreign exchange students, and even adopt two Russian orphans, proving the heart’s love knows no bounds.
