Number 40 of a Limited Edition of 150 copies signed by the author. Original white vellum with green leaf decorative border around the front cover, gilt lettering the spine and front. Demy 4to (280 mm); [xiv], 146, [2] pp. Top edge gilt. Scattered sports of foxing to endpapers back and front. With sixteen colour plates by George Elgood, R.I. An extremely good copy.

Surrey Hills Books was set up to offer high quality books for gifts. Our focus is on Modern First Editions & Signed Books, though we also have attractive offerings in many other areas, including, Art, Design & Photography, Children's books and selected Antiquarian books & Fine Bindings. Our shop is located in Cranleigh, a small but vibrant market town with a village atmosphere, set at the foot of the Surrey Hills. We are a small family run business owned by a husband & wife team, Richard and Penny Cornelius. Richard was formerly co-owner of Worlds End Bookshop in Chelsea and Penny worked for more than ten years for Surrey County Council in the library service.
