This 5.5 x 8.5 inch, 78 page softcover book is in near fine condition and is the 1986 printing, and signed by Jim Lague on the title page. The light tan paper covers are very clean and show just the slightest touch of wear at the corners but beyond that the edges and coverings are in near fine condition, with the oval picture and flower design on the rear cover clean and unmarred. The interior text pages are surely in near fine condition and maybe even better. This locally published item gives considerable historic background on the early days of Forbestown and extensive genealogical charting and information on the Forbes family. A good part of this publication prints the reminiscences, stories and poems by Jennie Forbes. There are a sprinkling of pictures and portraits to highlight the text.
