With a lengthy signed inscription to the Australian journalist Ron Saw and signed fully by Frank Hardy. Hardy admired Ron Saw's writing. Saw wrote humorous pieces but also Saw was known for a reportage on the Vietnam War and his powerful and emotive description of the hanging of a criminal Ronald Ryan in 1967 was one of the reasons capital punishment was abandoned in Australia.
