Touching on the history of gold mining in the area and the labor violence that ensued, the stories of how life was lived in those days are related from a family and friends who lived there. Included are photographs, maps, and a copy of a personal letter written to the authors from E.I. Edwards, a leading bibliographer of the West. This edition is SIGNED BY THE AUTHORS, inscribed on the half title, and is clean and solid. The endpapers serve as maps.
