Oblong quarto, land grant printed on vellum with presidential seal and engraved portrait of Adams. The document was certified by Samuel L. Moore as the owner of a tract of 160 acres outside St. Louis; some 50 words in the hand of Captain George Graham, the commissioner of the General Land Office, dated May 10, 1825 (four years after Missouri was admitted into the union as the 24th state), and signed by President Adams.
