"The Disciples of Christ" is a history of the church until 1948. The book starts by exploring the history of the Church from the resurrection of Christ. From there, it shows how Barton Stone, Thomas and Alexander Campbell, and others joined three of the "non-denominational" movements to form the Disciples of Christ church. It goes on to tell about the growth, the highs and lows, the people, and events that made the church what it was in 1948. Included are a bibliography and an index. This copy is clean and solid. It is SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR (Garrison), inscribed on the title page. The endpapers serve as maps.
