Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. 156pp., xvi. '1' in number line. Red cloth with brilliant gilt on spine; very slight, nugatory specks (5) of stain on lower left rear fly leaf with hint of smudge (NONE of this can be seen on rear flyleaf recto): describes much worse than it is, but there you have it. Glossy red dustwrapper not price-clipped (no price) with title and author name lettering in white over red across upper half front cover, above lower front cover black, light yellow and red illustration of lit fireplace, with dog on rug and unattended rocking chair, welcoming the reader. Spine very slightly diminished in red color, all lettering in black and white still sharp and distinct, eminently readable; very nugatory 1/8" crease at top right inner panel and a short thin crease to left of corner just below top panel edge: describes much worse than it is: Essays collected under seasons of the year.
