An eclectic journal exploiting latest developments in colour printing, with vivid artworks accompanying prose, essays, poems, and book reviews. Art Deco and modern styles merge with symbolist traditions, but Colour's remit was to "keep itself high above 'movements' in art". This volume covers the opening of the first ever Colour Magazine Exhibition held at New Bond Street's Grosvenor Galleries from March to April 1922, billed as "the most representative exhibition of the work of contemporary British Artists which has ever taken place in London". Contributions by many pseudonymous writers such as Parry Truscott (under which is pencilled "Abbie Hargrave", whose contributions recur sporadically throughout), B. Boltanskye, Theo Anderson, along with writers linked to women's suffrage such as Evelyne Close, Irene Tillard, etc. and many others including J. Griffyth Fairfax, Theodore Herman van Beek, Amelia Defries, Arthur L.
