Missing dust jacket (?). Light wear to extremities with minor scuffing to surface of cloth. Light soiling at surface. And papers lightly toned from newspaper clipping from the Philadelphia Inquirer about the publishing of this book. Oakley s signature on tip-in. Deckled edge lightly toned. Interior nicely preserved with hardly any spots or toning. Binding tight and intact. Free of markings or ownership. Please see photos. Violet Oakley (1874-1961) was an American artist. She was the first American woman to receive a public mural commission.
