The understated design of this book allows the quiet elegance of Wes Mills’ drawings to captivate viewers. High quality reproductions of forty-eight drawings made between 1994 and 2003 float in the center of muted white pages. The titles and dates of each piece, printed in a warm transparent gray, manage to both pick up some of the delicate tonalities in the drawings and to disappear altogether. A complete index of the drawings is included at the back and essays by Hipólito Rafael Chacón and Ann Wilson Lloyd discuss the work’s aesthetic and art historical significance. Clean, sound copy with one bumped lower corner. Inscribed by author on blank endpaper reads: "Book with bent corner Wes. Mills 2004" with minimal drawing above. Unpaginated.
