The first of a series of slim pamphlets written by John Drinkwater following the birth, in 1929, of his only daughter Penelope. This one consists of a poem about his young daughter's fascination with trees. Printed, by W. H. Smith, in an edition of 100 copies only, and signed by John Drinkwater on the final page. Uncommon - with COPAC only citing the copy in the British Library. Generally in good condition printed on green paper which is faded on its extremities and with minor closed tears at base. Bottom corner torn with no loss to text. Head and tailpieces designed by T.M. Seller Inventory # 000451
