Protected in a new Brodart Mylar cover. 550 pages. 6¾ x 9½" tall. An inventive novel about loss, growing up, and our relationship with things. After his father dies, Benny Oh finds he can hear objects talking: teapots, marbles, and pencils babble in anger or distress. Overwhelmed by the noise of all these things, Benny seeks refuge in the silence of the public library, where objects speak only in whispers. There, a book reaches out to him and thus begins a very important conversation.
