Signed by author on title page. Block Island, in the Atlantic Ocean off the south coast of New England, has a photographic history of 135 years. With more than 380 images in The Block Island History of Photography Volume 1, you will travel back to that earliest photo, showing a windmill on the main street; through the decades when thousands of three-dimensional stereoviews were purchased by eager tourists; to the first years when snapshots became part of summer fun.
