An original gelatin silver print (archivally processed on double-weight fiber-based paper), open edition, printed in 2007. Titled and signed in pencil by Burke verso, and stamped with the artist's "ACTUAL SIGNATURE" and "GOOD ART" stamps in black ink verso. Print size 19-5/8 x 15-3/4 inches. As New. The print is in flawless condition. This image is reproduced as the first plate of Burke's 1987 book, Portraits. From the introduction to Portraits, by Andy Grundberg: "Such is the almost biblical cast in Burke's portrait theater, in which the signs of a bedrock, blue-collar America are assembled for what seems a final curtain call."
