Warner's major work on all aspects of cricket and much re-issued. Perhaps best for the chapters on "some cricketers of my time" wherein he examines some of the players he played with and against from England, Australia and South Africa. First published 1911. Also contains some excellent photographic plates of major players. Later edition. 8vo. 296pp. Original green boards. Good condition. Signed nicely by Warner to title-page. This copy belonged to Gubby Allen, with a gift inscription from "Plum" to "Obbie", dated 1945. Allen was known to close friends and family as Obbie. Allen's private collection ended up with the MCC Library - this with a withdrawn stamp to fly-leaf. Seller Inventory # 88647
