(Helen Jackson, "H.H.") 1 page on bifold leaf, April 6, 1876. Colorado Springs, Colorado. 5 3/4" x 4 1/2". Together with hand addressed and postmarked envelope addressed to Alice D. Lyon, 120 Park Place, Brooklyn, New York with partial Colorado Springs postmark and Brooklyn postmark on verso. With 3 cents green Washington stamp Scott 158. 3 1/2" x 4 1/2". Very good. Uncommon. Jackson (1830-1885) was an American author; Native American activist; born Helen Marcia Fiske in Amherst, Massachusetts. In 1875 she married Colorado banker William Sharpless Jackson. Her novel "Ramona" was filmed in 1910 and 1936, with Loretta Young and Don Ameche.". Seller Inventory # 2221416
