Phyllis Haver (1899-1960), born January 6, 1899, Douglass, Kansas; died November 19, 1960, Sharon, Connecticut; silent-screen actress; Broke into films as a Mack Sennett Bathing Beauty after earning a living as a silent movie theater pianist, and quickly mounted the Hollywood sex pedestal in the 20s; under contract to Cecil B. DeMille; appeared in over 100 silent films including: "Whose Baby?" 1917; "The Summer Girls" 1918; "Whose Little Girl Are You?" 1918; "Yankee Doodle In Berlin" 1919; "Why Beaches are Popular" 1919; "The Fighting Eagle" 1927.
