("Aniouta Pitoeff") 2 pages, Paris?, nd, to director George Cukor. 10 1/2" x 8 1/4". A long gracious letter thanking Cukor for his help (presumably financial). Very good. In brief part: " - Mother (Ludmilla Pitoeff) has been very ill - she cannot live without the theater. She is acting now in Paris, in an English comedy - I am trying to work in the movies, I do a little radio work, and follow theatrical causes - You are so wonderful you help a person whom you haven't seen or heard from for years- " Ludmilla Pitoeff (1895-1951) was a French actress of Russian origin. Aniouta was her daughter and author of "Ludmilla, Ma Mere: vie de Ludmilla et de Georges Pitoeff." 1955. Seller Inventory # 2221484
