Atlas Shrugged [signed softcover]. This item is unavailable.Atlas Shrugged [signed softcover]

Mass market paperback with white covers, titles in gold. A thick softcover; the spine is a bit concave (but un-creased). Front cover is damaged, as if it got stuck to something; author's name peeled off as is the decoration on the upper corner. Half inch closed tear. Coffee cup ring. 1084 pages. Text block is complete and tight, but all the pages are wood-pulp-toned off white. Front endpaper through page 23 have a faded rectangle across most of the middle of the page. No date on the title page. Copyright page dated only 1957. This is the stated thirty first printing. The title page has signature and inscription from Rand. She has written 'To Gregory Thorpe - With my best wishes for your future and your philosophical improvement - Ayn Ran 11/2/73' All written in a strong black ink. Overall, the book is complete and tight but faded -- without the signature, it's nothing at all. Signed hardcovers of this title go for $3,000 and up. Rand's signature in lesser titles start at about half that. This copy was donated to the local library and is being sold on their behalf to support library programs.
