1 manuscrit autographe signé 2 pp. In-4 23 juin 1817 Bon Très intéressant manuscrit d'Ange Chiappe, intitulé"Note sur l Instruction publique en Corse". Ildresse l état déplorables des structures éducation en Corse: "Il n'y a point de collège royal en Corse. Deux seuls petits collèges de commune y sont établis, l'un à Bastia et l autre à Ajaccio. De mauvais maîtres d école existent dans les grandescommunes. Toutes les petites n'en ont aucun et c'est le plus grand nombre ». Une école d'enseignement mutuel va être installée à Ajaccio, grâce «aux bontés de son Excellence le Ministre de l Intérieur" [Joseph-Henri-Joachim, vicomte Lainé (1767-1835)]. "Le premier élève qui s'y formera ira en diriger une pareille à Bastia". "Deux choses paraissent indispensables dans le moment actuel, l'établissement d'un collège royal et la nomination d'un inspecteur. Le collège royal sera établi à Corte comme la ville la plus centrale de l'isle".Pour diriger cepremierétablissement, Chiappe propose l'avocatAntoine Colonna d'Istria. "Il est aussi digne de ce choix par ses principes et son dévouement au gouvernement de ses ancêtres, qu'il est propre par son âge (32 ans), son zèle et sa capacité à bien remplir les fonctions qui lui seront confiées.Il n'en coutera presque rien ni au gouvernement ni au département pour l'établissement du collège royal. Le Général Paoli [.] a pour cet objet, laissé un fond de 5000 livres sterling qui en rapporte 250 par an. Ce fond existe à la banque de Londres [.]". [Pascal Paoli coucha dansson testamentses volontés quant aufinancement des professeurs corses notammentàCorteet à Morosaglia. Il laissa pour celaune somme d'argent importante. Voilà sesmots exacts : "50 livres sterling par an pour le traitement d'un professeur habile qui, établi dans la commune deMorosaglia, enseigne à bien lire et écrire[.].Ayant toujours désiré que le gouvernement établit une école à Corte[.]je lègue deux cents livres sterling par an pour le traitement de quatre professeurs dont le premier enseigne la théologie naturelle et les principes de l'évidence naturelle de la religion chrétienne, le second les principes de la morale et le droit des gens, le troisième les principes d la philosophie naturelle et le quatrième les éléments de mathématiques. Si cette école ne peut être mise en place, il lègue 250 livres sterling par an pour l'entretien de cinq élèves dans les meilleures universités du continent, dont deux dans le département du Golo, deux du Liamone et un dans le Rostino, à vote secret pour ce dernier [.]", etc]. Statutory Right to cancel
You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days for any reason.
The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the the last good or the last lot or piece.
To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us, Traces Ecrites, 29, rue de Condé, 75006, Paris, France, of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax or e-mail). You may use the attached model cancellation form, but it is not obligatory. You can also electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". If you use this option, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a cancellation on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
Effects of cancellation
If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel with contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us or Traces Ecrites, Paris, France, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
