This beautifully printed edition consists of 17 unbound, unstitched gatherings, loose as issued within a black flexible cloth folder, protected in an orange-brown full leather clamshell case (the case is solid but somewhat bumped at extremes and lacking the closure straps, as usual; all interior pages are fine and spotless). New York: Random House & Maecenas Press, 1969. Deluxe Limited Edition. Dali's surrealist masterpiece. More commonly found in the edition of 2500, this is one the extremely rare 200 deluxe limited edition -- number CVII -- printed on Velin de Rives, boldly signed by Dali on the title page (along with the signed etching and an additional suite of all 13 plates printed on Japon Nacre, protected in a separate black cloth folder. --Michler & Lopsinger 321 - 333.
