Item description from seller

Catalogue of furniture and accessories retailed and designed by Albrizzi Ltd. Tables, chairs, ice buckets etc. Whilst there were three showrooms this catalogue is presumably from the Kings Road London branch as it is from the library of the graphic design company Pentagram. No date probably late 1960s. Fifty one products illustrated. Below is an abridged article from the New York Times June 27th 1968. Baron Alessandro Rubin de Cervin Albrizzi has become a designer-merchant to be reckoned with in New York, London and Rome. The founder-president of Albrizzi Ltd., started his trifold operation offering British goods first in late May on the Via Condotti, later on Kings Road in London and finally here at 989A Madison Avenue in the Carlyle Hotel. The 33-year-old Baron's designs have a classic familiarity in silhouette and pattern. Nests of acrylic plastic cubes, octagonal stool-tables, round and rectangular glass, plastic and chromed-steel tables, brilliantly colored acrylic plastic accessories and geometric-patterned rugs make up the boutique's inventory. A 15-inch high octagonal stool ($132) and a nest of four cubes ($220) are among the best of his plastic designs. They come in a range of 18 colors from deep purple to hot pink, in either transparent or opaque versions. His most original piece is a large block-topped coffee table on a box-base. It's currently hidden at the rear of the shop because it was damaged in shipment. The glass-topped tables have bases of bent acrylic plastic with chromed-steel frames. They come in octagonal (a 5-foot diameter table is $809), square or rectangular shapes⦠The Venetian Baron, who began designing furnishings in early 1967 in London, entered the design field via a circuitous route. After schooling in Switzerland, he earned a degree in international law at the University of Florence. But the attractions of photography were stronger than the law, and he became a professional photographer and later an artistic director in the book department at the French magazine concern that publishes Connaissance des Arts and Rà alità s. Library marks and Pentagram stamo to front and rear of catalogue. Wear to covers and age toning to interior. | Below is an abridged article from the New York Times June 27th 1968. | Baron Alessandro Rubin de Cervin Albrizzi has become a designer-merchant to be reckoned with in New York, London and Rome.
