Photo is 8"x 10", TLS is 7 1/4" x 10 1/2". Both Fine, with just moderate age-toning. Photo is signed and inscribed at upper left, TLS signed at closure. Provenance information available to purchaser. Scott Crossfield was an American naval officer, test pilot and airline development executive. In 1953, he became the first pilot to fly at Mach 2, that being a local relative flow rate of twice the speed of sound. He did this in the X-15 shown in the photograph.TLS to collector Calow is written on Eastern Airlines Incorporated letterhead, with blind-stamped logo, and is signed by Crossfield as Staff Vice President - Transportation Systems Development".
