Three-page handwritten letter on personal stationary (writing on three sides of single folded leaf) thanking Mrs. Straus for her thoughtful birthday gift, card, and wishes. Condition is Very Good with light creasing, age toning and wear along folds (including 1 in. closed tear along one fold). CL Consignment. Shelved in Straus-Levy Autograph binder (Case 0). Sara Ann Roosevelt (September 21, 1854 September 7, 1941) was the second wife of James Roosevelt I (from 1880), the mother of President of the United States Franklin Delano Roosevelt, her only child, and subsequently the mother-in-law of Eleanor Roosevelt. 1379502.
