Album is very finely bound, full green leather with full gilt floral trim and red spine label (label reads "Denkmahl Wahrer Freunde"). All edges gilt. Many pages in the album are blank. There is writing, mostly short verses, handwritten in ink on 32pages. One of entries is signed by "your cousin" Tschiffely, Capitaine 1805. Another is signed by "ta Devotee Tante, Elise Springli". Other signers include Augustus Fauche, Philadelphia 1806, Mr. Wm. Friedrich Kummer, Philadelphia 1806; N D M Schultz, Amsterdam 1805. There are names near the 3 watercolors but they are hard to decipher. There are 3 exceptionally nice watercolor landscapes with figures, one color picture of an urn and one pencil drawing by John. Lud. Lang 1805. Almost all entries are in German, a few in French, one in English. Near VG, light wear ; endpaper on inside rear hinge beginning to crack. Binding secure.
