35th Anniversary Edition and "second printing" (with former stated upon front cover and latter specified upon title page) INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR. x, 81 pages plus twelve folding plans/maps. Paperback: H 27.5cm x L 21.5cm. Dark yellow paper covers with light soiling; bumping to covers' fore-edges; gold oval "Signed Edition" sticker affixed at front cover's lower right; spine head scuffed. Varied foxing to text block edges with slight soiling to bottom edge. Author's two-line ink inscription "Thanks to a great historian! | Willoughby Marshall" upon title page; interior leaves are otherwise bright and clean. Binding remains fairly crisp. Although his name is omitted, the inscribee is Dr. Harry P. Owens (1932-2020) who was Professor Emeritus of History at the University of Mississippi and author of the local history reference "Apalachicola Before 1861" - the book was acquired directly from Dr. Owens' Oxford, Mississippi estate. First published in 1974, Marshall's study established a historic preservation plan for the city of Apalachicola, Florida and won an award from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
