En inglés. Dedicado y firmado por el autor.\n"Maradona Meets His Maker" is a poem that expresses a satirical viewpoint on the late soccer player Diego Maradona. The poem uses wordplay and rhymes to convey a sense of disdain toward Maradona's behavior and actions on and off the field.\n\nThe poem suggests that Maradona, who is referred to as the "World Cup's little faker" and an "odious little midget," has passed away and gone to meet his maker. It mocks his tendency to make offensive gestures, such as flicking his middle finger, and implies that his reputation has been reduced to ashes, using the play on words "urned" to suggest his reputation has been destroyed.\n\nIt's important to note that this poem reflects a particular perspective and tone, and it's always essential to approach any form of artistic expression with respect and an understanding of different opinions and interpretations.\n\nBio:\nTony Dawson was born in the East End of London in 1937. His memory of his family leaving there to escape the Blitz is reflected in Embers. After a lengthy career teaching in public sector higher education in England, he moved to Seville in 1989 to take up a post at the local university.
