Signature and inscription have been rubbed and are faded in some places. 11" X 8 1/2". 168pp. Rubbing, toning, and shelf wear to covers, corners, and edges of paper wraps. Faint dust-spotting to edges of text block. Pages are free of marks and notation. Binding is sound. An overall solid copy of this 1987 guide to the University of Alabama football. Our 1987 media guide presents facts and information on this year's team, plus more of thepast Alabama history than previous guides.(From the Intro.) Bill Curry was the head coach of the University of Alabama football team from 1987 to 1989. During his tenure, Curry had a record of 26-10. Despite winning a share of the SEC Championship in 1989 and achieving three consecutive bowl appearances, Curry faced significant pressure and criticism from fans and boosters who were not satisfied with his performance, particularly due to losses against key rivals such as Auburn and Tennessee. This led to a strained relationship with the Alabama fan base and ultimately contributed to his decision to leave Alabama and accept the head coaching position at the University of Kentucky after the 1989 season.…

Underground Books, ABAA is an online rare and antiquarian bookshop, founded in 2011 as a brick and mortar general bookstore of the same name in downtown Carrollton, Georgia, which is now operated by out former store manager as The Underground Bookshop. Co-owners Josh Niesse and Megan Bell met in 2011, just 10 days or so after Josh opened the doors of Underground Books, literally underground, several steps below street level in a 100-year-old basement in our historic downtown. Megan, an English student at the University of West Georgia, walked in, fell down the rabbit hole, and never left! Reader, we married in May of 2014, under the book arch that now resides at the bookshop. We are both proud alumni of the Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar (CABS), and Megan additionally of Rare Book School at the University of Virginia and of the ABAA Women’s Initiative Mentorship Program. Like many booksellers with open brick-and-mortar stores, we are passionate generalists, but our specialties are in decorative publisher's cloth bindings; fairy tales, folklore, and mythology; popular science and natural history; the occult; and fine press books.…
