Add to basketFirst edition of 50, of which this is no. 23. Eight unbound leaves measuring 16.5 x 21 cm (6.5 x 8.27"), printed in black at rectos on cream-colored card stock. Housed in a blank black card stock three-panel portfolio. Text in Czech. Signed in blue ink by both artists at title leaf and inscribed and signed in red marker by Valoch at inside left cover. Artists book by Jirí Valoch and Sasa Rychecký, composed of unbound leaves with large woodcut letterforms, including "i," "er," "lla," "gu," "e," "va," "and," "ra." A few of the words that can be spelled by rearranging the leaves include "guerra," "guerilla," "llave," "era," "valla," and of course, "guevara." A subversive and interactive work of concrete poetry, and, furthermore, an association copy inscribed by Valoch in red marker to Swedish Fluxus artist and folklorist Bengt af Klintberg. The notation reads, "For Bengt af Klintberg, very cordially, Ji í Valoch." The inscription is faint on account of the red marker on black card stock, but more visible under bright light. Artifact Vibration Standard Score: 8.9. Rubbing and faint indents to black card stock folder. Title leaf with faint red ink offset at middle from being laid against inside cover inscription, remaining leaves with offset rubbing at versos on account of the thick ink, and a faint diagonal fold line at top right corner affecting all leaves. Very good. [TIOTB Catalog 6 item 7s.].
