Three ms letters from Peter Blake, all signed 'Peter': September 2nd 1979, apologising for the delay in finishing a suite of drawings for publication, signed 'Yours in Love, Peter' sne tfrom 8 Esmond Road, London W4. April 7th 1980, sent to Douglas and Robert, enclosing signatures and numbers, discusses the production of a 'Commemorative Plate' but feels with the tate show coming up he can't commit to any more work, from 8 Esmond Road, London W4. September 2nd 1982, from 1 Duke Road, London W4, asking if various books will be ready to show in his forthcoming Tate retrospective. Photocopy, 6 sheets, a record of a discussion between Peter Blake and Graham Ovenden 'relating to sentiments and reasons for the creation of room five at this years Royal Academy Summer Show (1976). 2pp ms letter from Graham and Ann Arnold, dated 14th February 1979, discusses the production of a series of enamel boxes, technical colour issues and contractual issues. Invitation to the exhibition 'The Brotherhood of Ruralist, Paintings and Drawings, Devizes Museum , the card with an ms note inviting Maxwell to the private view on November 22nd, signed by Graham and Ann (Arnold); am ms letter from Graham Arnold to 'Sue and Douglas' invitng them to a preview and party, dated march 1983 and follow-up ms letter from Grahm Arnold dated 16th March 1983, thanking them for coming to the exhibition and fro purchasing one of the drawings . Two copies of a poem by Graham Ovenden 'To the late Sir John Betjeman (In memory of him having given me his third hat)', an ms acrostic poem by Graham Ovenden (not in his hand) for Peter Blake on TV-am paper, adted Feb 7 1983. An ms letter from Graham Ovenden on his Barley Splatt headed paper, discussing the controversy over pictures of young girls by Ovenden in the Royal Academy, mentioning D.SG Platt of Scotland Yard, curiously phrased as if discussing some other person rather than himself.
